This seems like it should eb easy, but I searched and couldnot find any help with it.
I have a part model created by our customer. I need to make anassembly to design tooling for the part. When the part model wascreated the face they selected for the front is the face that Iwant to be the top in my tooling assembly.
If I insert the part into my assembly it is automatically insertedin the assembly with the part front side as it was designed. Itried opening the part and changing the view orientation of thepart but when I try to insert it it is still their top face facingtowards my front. Any suggestions on how to either change theorientation or unlock the part so I can mate a different face to mytop plane?SolidworksAssemblies
