As solution partner, we are building an integration withSolidWorks with our PLM application. Our question is: is there apart (or assembly) configuration identifier other than the actualconfiguration name?
Let me explain a use case, maybe there is a different solutionother than the one we have indicated here. We need to create apermanent correspondence between a part configuration and an itemin our system. We have acomplished this and it works just fine, however the correspondence is tied to the configuration name. If auser renames the configuration, this correspondence is lost. If wehad some other way to create this correspondence (e.g. aconfiguration ID that cannot be edited by the user), renamingconfiguration names would not be a problem.
Any ideas?
We appreciate any assistance you may provide us
Thanks
