Combinated Solidworks issues appeared in Sheet-Metal Training

Below you will find all the problems I have encountered in sheet metal training courses. Additionally all SPR are linked which already exist for these errors.

Lesson 1

  • Please add the sample Table “sample table - aluminium - metric units.xls” to the Training files.
I wish to show our students how to add a new Gauge to the table and how they could use it afterwards. I do not wish to modify the original table.

  • Please add the Material parameter option to the training book picture.
  • Please made it possible to add Material based Gauge table after you created a new sheet-metal part.
    SPR 1117335
  • Cannot edit Rectangular relief if a not ratio-based relief is wished. Because the option in Edit is missing.
    SPR 195939
On Sheet-Metal course after telling People how to set the relief option some customers test them and missing the tick for a non ratio-based relief.

Lesson 2

  • Centermark in Mirrored parts of a body do not work
    SPR 733429

Lesson 4

  • In formed region of lofted bend, Edge-Flange not work
    SPR 285143 and SPR 1122024
I face this problem often when students try to use Edge-Flange after converting on convert.sldprt

Lesson 6

  • PunchID not show up if Link to formtool get removed.
    SPR 1029733
Some discussion exists because some customers ask for the Link to file option in the property manager of a inserted Formtool. I have to say that is needed because otherwise SolidWorks is not able to show the PunchID on drawing.
It seems not possible to use this link to get a table of used Formtools in PDM or Manage

  • No Outline on Gusset if Mirrored
    SPR 780571
I told my students they could create feature in half or quarter parts if symmetric and then mirror or pattern them. A customer tried it while doing only a half part in exercise 22 added Formtool and gusset and mirrored them.

  • Punchtabel Annotation wrong placed
    SPR 616262
This is official Part of my lesson to show customer some common problems
