Maybe I'm one of the few people who reads the EULA from time to time, but this time with the SW2014 Beta EULA there is a new paragraph (at least for me), which makes me uncomfortable. There is no privacy policy in the beta EULA, and there is a marketing trap
9.You agree that DS SolidWorks may identify your company to its potential customers as a user of the Product.
Just by downloading the beta yo agree to that marketing fuss, if you think your privacy is something valuable you can't participate in the beta. In theory, I would have to contact some managers and company lawyers, if it is okay to download the Beta software, because I'm not the one who can agree (or disagree) to this kind of marketing with our companies name and brand.
At least in Europe (and Germany) there is an ongoing discussion about data privacy and the need for data minimization, and I'm worried about the intentions behind this EULA.
