While I am placing a stacked balloon set, can I pick itemsfrom the bom itself to propagate the balloons?

Problem: I am trying to place a lanyard in an assembly. I created afile with the properties needed to fill out the bom, the file hasno geometry in it. How do I pick the item in the .drw?
