Assembly mates flip when part sketch is edited

In simple assemblies of sheet metal parts with Pem hardware,the Pem hardware mates go to hell by simply editing a sketch in thepart. Rebuild does not fix it, but if I edit a mate and reverse thedirection then everything fixes itself again. It's driving mecrazy. I HATE SW2008.Solidworks Assemblies
