Hi
I have a big issue with my workflow.
We have a lot of big assemblies with a lot of exploded steps. On occasion I see after that the exploded view are finished that I, for example, have forgotten a washer. And it can be so that the numbers of exploded steps for the bolt that this washer sits under are 40 steps away. Now I have to manually add the washer to all these steps to get it in the correct position in the exploded view. This is very time consuming. If it only where on occasion this manual work would be okay, but this can take up hours each week (due to that we have approx. 1500 big assemblies with +200-400 exploded steps in each). And we are constantly adding new parts in these assemblies.
How can I add a new inserted part to an already existing parts multiple exploded steps. In mind this should be possible: Like "show exploded steps", then somehow "add part to existing parts exploded steps (chain of steps)".
Best Regards
Daniel
As part of the migration from the legacy Forum to the new SOLIDWORKS Forum, there was an overlap in timing where the new Forum was being loaded with historical data from an export migration, while at the same time, the legacy Forum was still operating during the period of March 12th to March 31st. Due to the overlapping timelines and import-export technical issues, posts during that time-frame could not have their media imported. If you created a post in the legacy Forum during that time-frame and wish to update the post in the new Forum with supporting media, please go to your post in the new Forum, enter into Edit mode and re-add any supporting media you want to insert.
The easiest way to find your posted content is: from the new Forum, click on your profile icon in the top right of the GUI, then select "My Profile" and you will be taken to the "Overview" tab where you can see all of your posting history.
Thank you
