This is my first tip - usually I just ask questions or read. This is from an engineer at work:
Do this especially for e-mailing large parts or assemblies. Build acube around it, rebuild, and is will save as a much smaller sizebecause it only sees a surface. Just draw a sketch (rectangle orsquare) on a plane next to the part and extrude a rectangle orsquare through the part, and maybe past it a little bit.
The recipient of the e-mail should either delete the cube, or maybesuppress it or hide it. I didn't experiment with that part of it.
Let me know if this works!SolidworksAdministration
