I have been drawing some oil rigs in SW, now I am to makesome layout drawings of the rigs showing pipelines to the coast andonshore installations. As the Oil rig is drawn in mm (1 unit=1mm)there is a problem. SW has a limitation of 1 000 000 units for itsmodels, as it is 100Km=100 000 000mm to the coast I can not showthe oil rig, pipeline and onshore plant in the same asambely.
I have tried to scale down the oil rig by 1/1000 (so that 1mmbecomes 1m) but to be able to do this in SW it is nessecarry to"save as part" and then you loose all the flexebility of the modellas it ends up as solids. The other solution is of course to modellthe oil rig again and use 1unit=1m. I will be a lot of work andfunctions like structural meber will not function proparly as itslibrary is drawn with 1unit=1mm.
Any suggestions anyone?
