This new release brings significant improvements to the SOLIDWORKS roles in the 3DEXPERIENCE® Works portfolio. Below is just a small selection of the most notable enhancements.

SOLIDWORKS Browser-based Roles

• 3D Creator: Elevate your design experience by designing in the context of a design environment. Accelerate design processes by utilizing Command Search. Easily share designs with external stakeholders with the ability to share via 3DDrive. Easily restore broken sketch constraints by replacing lost references. Resolve external reference issues with enhanced feedback in the Design Manager. Speed up design iterations by quickly locating components when using Insert Component or Replace Component, and more.
• 3D Sculptor: Gain more control over the mesh with the ability to quickly modify it directly from the robot without browsing through the action bar. Create cohesive designs and smooth subdivision surfaces with the ability to align to external geometry. Easily focus on active Subdivision with Isolate Subdivision, and more.
• 3D Mold Creator: Design mold inserts with next-generation cooling capabilities allowing for shorter mold injection cycle times. Mold inserts created in 3D Mold Creator can be modified in Lattice Designer to create Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) geometries which provide very high heat exchange characteristics.
• Manufacturing Definition Creator: Define key manufacturing workflows with intuitive 2D authoring capabilities. Rapidly create standard drawing views with projection view capabilities. Ensure accurate cross-highlighting with multi-reference annotations. Work faster with increased performance when creating, and editing BOM tables, and more.

SOLIDWORKS Cloud-connected Roles

• 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS Premium, Professional, and Standard and Collaborative Designer for SOLIDWORKS: SOLIDWORKS CircuitWorks (MCAD) users can now collaborate with Cadence Allegro and OrCAD (ECAD) users on electrical design by pushing and pulling design changes on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Automate the update of SOLIDWORKS parts and assemblies for 3DEXPERIENCE compatibility scheduling tasks. Set logic for a new part or assembly as a single physical product. Easily synchronize cache files with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and more.
• 3DEXPERIENCE DraftSight Premium, Professional, and Mechanical: Improve designer productivity with an enhanced centralized DraftSight template management on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Save time when creating standard items in drawings with centralized template management and sharing. Streamline the process of distributing and sharing DraftSight templates throughout your organization with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
• Electrical Schematic Designer: Open schematic drawings and automatically zoom to fit to get right to work when you open a design. Streamline collaboration between electrical users on a project with new link sharing of content in the Electrical Content Portal (ECP). Manage design changes involving cables or cable cores faster and more intuitively.
• 3D Motion Creator: Understand the behavior of mechanisms better with the ability to explicitly assess the minimum distance between bodies or parts using probes. Support reaching a zero-defect prototype by visually identifying interferences between components during motion simulation along the entire design process with the Interference Probe command. Expand what-if scenarios and Design of Experiments with support for knowledge parameters and formulas, and more.
