Dassault Systèmes - Modeling and Simulation (MODSIM) of Heat Exchangers - Advanced Seminar

SIMULIA’s own Kalyan Veeraghanta, SIMULIA Industry Process Consultant, presented at the 2026 SIMULIA Americas Users Conference.

Abstract:

In the modern product development lifecycle, "left-shifting" simulation is essential for reducing reliance on physical prototyping and mitigating late-stage design failures. This advanced seminar provides a deep dive into the SIMULIA Fluid Dynamics Engineer (FMK) role—a robust Navier-Stokes-based solver integrated within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. We will examine the technical advantages of a unified CAD-to-Simulation environment, focusing on the elimination of traditional data translation bottlenecks. This seamless associativity enables automated design exploration and rapid iteration, ensuring that fluid and thermal performance drive the design cycle rather than serving as afterthoughts. Furthermore, participants will learn how scalable cloud resources facilitate the execution of complex, large-scale steady and unsteady simulations, significantly reducing wall-clock time while maintaining the numerical accuracy required for industrial-grade testing and validation.
