Dear all,
Our team is working on production of a 3D printed mask equipped with an air filter with a 0.22 micron membrane (size of viruses including Covid).
We managed to produce a prototype that you can find on our video, with all the associated explanations, via this youtube link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5w91apD_tk&feature=youtu.be
This respiratory mask therefore allows both to block the filtration of the virus, to offer ease of breathing, and can be made to measure for the users. In our initial tests, the mask is impermeable to the passage of air, both during exhalation and inhalation, particularly in areas of contact with the face.
The 3D printed part of the mask can be washed with soapy water, and the filters are interchangeable.
Today we have the capacity to produce 50 masks of this type. We are working to be able to produce more masks of this type.
If you like this project and if you think you can help us to develop this initiative, here are our needs:
- To find a supplier of air filters with 0.22 micron membranes.
- Obtain standard elastics to hold the mask to the head
- To be able to carry out tests in accordance with the equivalences described by the French Directorate General of Armament in order to certify our masks by equivalence.
Sincerely yours,
