70% of the defects created during embedded systems development projects are actually located in the textual requirements. Indeed, until recently, Requirements Engineering was reduced to Requirements Management. I’ll present you CATIA Stimulus, a very innovative solution for the simulation of functional requirements during the specification phase. STIMULUS unique editing, debugging and simulation features enables the user to develop incrementally a specification based on textual requirements, state-machines and block diagrams.
Later on, Test Engineers can automatically verify that the actual system meets its specification. The manual development of test cases is no longer needed.
