Despite the difficulties of the pandemic, the aerospace and defense market still keeps its focus on innovation. Some of the public funding made available for recovery, are tied to clear objectives for green and sustainable re-engineering, bringing, even more, focus on light-weighting, aerodynamic efficiency and noise reduction. At the same time, a new way of transport in densely populated urban environments is rising. Urban Air Mobility is a stable trend of the last few years with a growing number of stakeholders in the market. In the coming years, this market will have to go through the certification and manufacturing of an unprecedented number of vehicles, with simulation playing a vital role in the process. Finally, on the space side, reusable vehicles and private investments are changing the landscape reducing by order of magnitude the cost of bringing payload to orbit.

Simulation needs to provide transformative tools that fuel these trends and Modeling & Simulation solutions from Dassault Systèmes are here to enable and support this digital transformation.
