Energy & Materials Update on Sub-Surface Simulation Technologies

MODSIM 3DXCONFERENCE Modeling_and_Simulation_from_an_Industry_Perspective

I am pleased to invite you to hear my presentation on the Global 3DEXPERIENCE Modeling & Simulation Virtual Conference, on November 17.

My presentation:

The technology in the Energy and Materials industry evolved significantly in the last few years. This presentation provides an update on multi-physics and multi-scale sub-surface technologies including two IPEs, DigitalROCK and Geomechanics simulation. While DigitalROCK is an IPE to characterize reservoir rock for fluid flow based properties, such a relative permeability and capillary pressure, Geomechanics simulations addresses the assessment and prediction of the stress and strain field in the reservoir at any relevant scale.

A focus in this presentation is set on a newly developed ModSim workflow for the Geomechanics simulation IPE, in which the reservoir and its surrounding formations are accurately modeled using CATIA which leads to a wide range of efficiency and accuracy improvements in the process of creating and using a mechanical earth model (Abaqus).

The replay of my presentation will be available after the event on this post,

and I'm available here to answer your questions.
