We have a winner! (actually, we have 3 of them)

And the contest ends, with several extraordinary submissions!

The winners for the 2013 Made in 3D edition are:

Grand Prize Winner

Aude MASSONI (France) with her Physalis Jewelry (18 votes on 3dvia.com | 14 votes on swym )

Runner Up

Petar KOSTOV (Bulgaria) with Butterfly-inspired Ear Cuffs (5 votes on 3dvia.com | 8 votes on swym)

2nd Runner Up

Beru ICHIKAWA with his anti-mosquito lamp (4 votes on 3dvia.com | 9 votes on swym)

Congratulations to the winners! And many, many thanks to all the participants!

As stipulated by the terms and conditions, the number of likes on 3DVIA.com determined the winners. Each will receive a 3D print of their object, and the Grand Prize Winner will also receive an iPad.

Note that all the winners wrote lengthy posts explaining their project. Those resulted in numerous endorsements, whether on 3dvia.com or on the community. It is interesting to that, even though the likes on the community don't count for the final result, those contestants decided tell us more about what they did and why they did it. And the community voted for them knowingly, which goes to show that people care immensely for the stories behind the objects.

We didn't want to make the swym post a mandatory step, but keep in mind this relationship for the next edition of the contest: Take the time to show how much thought you put into your creation, how much you love it yourself and people will support you!

We would also like to point to other submissions for their creativity:

Well, personally I'm happy I didn't have to pick one in among all the work that was submitted  We were honestly surprised by the quality of those submissions, and it's great that the community chose their winners.

The Made in 3D contest will be back regularly throughout the year, so be sure to check back soon!!
