Students learn SOLIDWORKS xDesign

End of July the 3DEXPERIENCE Edu team was invited to Eugen-Bolz-Gymnasium in Germany to organize two project days on the topic of “How Products are Designed in 3D”.

More than 20 students aged 12-17 enthusiastically learned how to design with SOLIDWORKS xDesign.

🔹 From idea & sketch to 3D modeling with xDesign

🔹 Their first product: a 3D-printed smartphone holder with personal initials

It was really fun and fascinating to see how quickly the students became creative and interested in designing on the computer.

The final highlight is, of course, that our 3DEXPERIENCE Lab Munich – FabLab, has 3D printed all the models, so that now every student can physically use the cell phone holder they designed on their computer – in their web browser.

A big thank you to @CZ , who printed all the models in no time at all.

Many thanks also to:

🔹 The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab Munich – FabLab team: @FB, @AG

🔹 Packaging and shipping: @Gabriele Koers

🔹 Organization and execution: @CR, @JB

Let’s keep inspiring the next generation of Designers, Engineers & Makers!
