Making BattleBots safe and accessible for kids!

The BattleBots TV show inspires kids to design and build their own robots, but it can be an inaccessible sport if there are not local events near your home. We're using Solidworks to design parts that make combat robotics accessible to everyone!

Safety is a big concern in the sport, especially for kids that are just starting out. Enclosed arenas are typically made of expensive aluminum extrusion and polycarbonate panels that can be difficult to find and manufacture. Since our Camp Witch Doctor Robot Kits don't require a complicated enclosed arena, we've used Solidworks to design a simple and much more accessible arena that can bring exciting battles to any living room!

Our arena design uses commonly available foam floor tiles that are easy and quick to assemble, while providing excellent traction for the robots. We used readily available cube panels for the walls. Using Solidworks, we designed custom snap-on clips to securely connect the walls to the floor tiles. All the clips for this Battle Arena are 3D-printed, making replacement parts easy and affordable!

EASY SET UP: The Battle Arena can be built in 15 minutes and requires no tools. The entire arena packs down to a 1ft cube, so it's easy to pack away when not in use.

PICK A SIZE: The Battle Arena is configurable, so you can build the size that best fits your space. You'll get everything you need to build a 4x4 foot arena, but you can also build a 3x3ft or 5x3ft arena if it works better for your space.

KNOCK OUT ZONES: Two Knock Out Zone Barriers are included to add even more fun to your Battle Arena! Choose one of our suggested layouts, or come up with your own! The Knock Out Zone Barriers allow for an area of the Battle Arena to serve as a Knock Out if bots can't escape. Perfect for more competitive battles!
