I just wanted to share with you all woodworking aficionados one of my latest projects: My Dining Table.
I moved 4 years ago from France to the US and I had the opportunity to buy a house. After months of research (Online and in Furniture Stores) for the perfect Dining Table, I came to the conclusion that the best would be to design and build it.
Here is the result:
Storyboard
Base
- Started with Rough Lumber:
- Jointed and Edge and a Face:
- Chop Chop Chop
- Mitered Corners, added Floating Tenons, cut, adjusted and assembled the Stretchers to the Legs:
- Finished with OSMO PolyX:
Table Top
- Started with Rough Lumber too: jointed, planned. ripped, etc.
- Assembled with Dowels (I don't have a Domino, LOL)
- 2 Halves of 48" x 48: x 2":
- Beveled by Hand all around:
- Also finished with OSMO PolyX:
