Allow me to introduce the Chronos Navigator—a wheelchair that goes far beyond mobility. It's a fusion of engineering, art, and empowerment, brought to life through the spirit of Steampunk design.
The project began as a challenge from a friend and a personal desire to push my creative boundaries with SOLIDWORKS. I wanted to transform something purely functional a wheelchair into a piece that combined mechanical precision with artistic imagination.
The entire design was created and modeled in SOLIDWORKS, with the final rendering done in SOLIDWORKS Visualize, demonstrating ability to combine technical mastery with a visually expressive concept.
This is a fully functional assembly every axle, gear, and wheel is animated, while the fluid geometry of the upholstery was carefully shaped to achieve a harmony between beauty and usability.
Every detail was designed to capture the luxury and ingenuity of the Victorian era:
- Materials: A blend of fine wood, polished brass, and velvet upholstery evokes the feeling of first-class craftsmanship.
- Side-mounted megaphones: More than just decorative, they symbolize presence and voice, ensuring the user is seen and heard.
- Control panel: With gauges and levers reminiscent of steam engines, it transforms simple controls into an immersive mechanical experience.
Above all, the Chronos Navigator is a celebration of creativity and engineering, a reminder that design can go beyond utility and become a true work of art.
