I’ve always struggled with messy and tangled cables on my desk. No matter how many times I tried organizing them, they would slip, tangle, or just look untidy. Most cable organizers I found were either too bulky or didn’t allow for easy access.
To solve this, I have designed a compact and twist lock cable organizer that:
- Neatly secures maximum 2 cables without tangling.
- Has an easy-access top for quickly adding or removing cables.
- Features a rotating mechanism to adjust cable length as needed.
- Has two cable clips to hold end of cable.
The 3D print for this model was simple but required precision. The key detail was ensuring the locking mechanism and rotation movement worked smoothly. I used tree supports for the inner slots and printed at a fine resolution for a clean fit. The total print time was around 9 hours.
This cable organizer locks cables in place and rotates smoothly.
The final result is exactly what I needed. It keeps my workspace clutter-free, allows easy access to cables, and has a sleek, functional design. The only modification has remained was to add a rubber grip at the bottom to prevent sliding.
Overall, I am really happy with how this turned out!
No more messy cables!
