Hello Makers,
Every year, we are going to the 3DEXPERIENCE World for discovering, learning and to be honest to have fun...
Why not doing a race during the next one in Dallas??? Could be a great experience to meet each others, to exchange tips & tricks and to do a funny competition!
My proposal: Design, Make & Drive a RC Car
Few rules (need to be completed by the community and the racers!)
- The design need to be realized with the 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS for Makers or with any 3DEXPERIENCE On Cloud platform roles
- Car details:
- Size and Weight? need to be limited and defined together (we are travelling by plane)
- Materials allowed:
- for the 3D printed parts only PLA or PETG (no ABS, no Nylon, etc...)
- Wood
- Cardboard
- Aluminium and steel parts allowed
- Except for the 3D Printed parts, No plastic material is allowed
- Front Bumper --> Foam or Epp material
- Tires --> no limitation
- Electronic devices
- RC transmitter - no limitation (need to be confirmed by the local regulation)
- Battery : lipo 2s hard case only (security)
- electric motor, no limitation
- Esc no limitation
- Car chassis
- Main material Cardboard
- No differential
- Ball bearing allowed
- 1 large front bumper in foam or EPP
- Rims have to be manufactured by the competitor (no commercial RC Rims)
- 3D Printed parts, max 30% of the chassis weight allowed (% need to be validated)
- 2WD, 4WD, 2WS and 4WS allowed...
- Car Body
- cardboard and paper only, no fiberglass, no Carbon, no polycarbonate...
- Wheels need to be covered by the body
- beautiful as possible... with stickers, flashy colors, etc...
- Race (proposal):
- 5 minutes max
- 3 race runs
- we count the number of laps of the 2 best race runs
- Communication
- All the cars need to be presented on this community before the race
- a picture of the real car and the print-screen of the car design need to be published 2 weeks before the 3DEXPERIENCE World...
- More ???
What to you think about this idea?
