The 3DEXPERIENCE platform makes it possible to tag content with tags called 6W tags - this stands for Where, What, When, Who, How and Why tags. Tagging content with specific tags makes it easier to find and filter the content later.
Discover Two Easy Ways to Tag Content
1. Add a Tag within a Post
When creating content in 3DSwym (post, media, wiki, survey, etc) you can create a tag by first typing the hashtag symbol (also known as the "number sign" or the "pound sign") and then typing your tag name. For example you might decide to tag a post related to cloud...
Once you begin typing your tag, you will notice that a drop down list appears. Once you have finished typing, select the tag type you wish to use (Where, What, When, Who, Why, or How). Notice the different symbols for each tag type.
The benefit of adding a tag within a post is that fellow users/readers can see and click on your tags. By clicking on a tag within a post you bring up a feed of all content that utilizes this tag.
Here is an example of creating a "What" tag called "Abaqus"
2. Add a Tag With the 6WTagger
When in the edit mode of a post, you can open up the 6WTags by clicking on the tag symbol next to the search bar on the blue navigation bar. Once the side panel is open you can begin typing in tags of your choosing for a post. This is a convenient way to add multiple tags at once. The tag will not display directly in the post, but it will show up when searching your tags in the 6W side bar and will aid in general keyword search as well.
