Surpac Tip - How to export drillholes with labels as a 3D PDF
When working in GEOVIA Surpac, drillholes can not be directly exported out to PDF with colour or text, but there is a tip to achieve the same results.
Part 1. Using the Planes Method.
Open up the drillhole database
- Display the drillholes with a white default colour trace and the labels. Make sure you have set the text size within the drillhole display form
- Set up the section via planes and activate a section.
- Planes>save section as string file.
- Open up the string file and adjust the styles so the Dfields are displayed.
- Edit>string>renumber.. renumber all the ticks and the drillhole trace to string 2.
- Renumber all the text strings to be in the 10’s. For example string 8 will be 18. This will leave the tick strings the same numbers.
- Customise>Display Properties>Strings and Points. Adjust all the styles for the strings in the 10’s to display as D1. Save the styles file to a new name and then save the string file.
- Save the styles file to a new name and then save the string file.
- Reset graphics and open up the string file and make sure its opening and displaying correctly in the graphics window.
- Delete the string at the top which is the collar string
- File>export>export to 3D PDF
- Open up the pdf.
- The drillhole data is now exported to a 3D PDF with Labels.
