We are thrilled to introduce the new Surface Mine Designer role, available with the 3DEXPERIENCE R2022x release, on cloud (MIPIT-OC).
Generate and evaluate multiple pit, pushback and ramp designs through an automated parametric process
The Surface Mine Designer is typically a Mining Engineer tasked with developing various pit and ramp designs for the ultimate pit as well as pushback phases. The scope of the activities for the Surface Mine Designer could include annual updates to the Strategic Mine Plan (Life of Mine) and/or more detailed pit design updates within pushbacks and mini-pits based on new information.
Benefits
- Rapid generation of multiple outcomes through parametric design offering optionality assessment and identification of optimal designs
- Safety by Design allowing consideration of safety standards related to pit slopes and geotechnical criteria
- Technical robustness of pit and ramp designs linked to physical constraints and geotechnical features
- Significant time savings and transparency through seamless process and data model continuity between optimized pit phases and practical design.
Highlights
- Parametric pit design with multiple design options
- Parametric ramp design with multiple design options
- Integration of geotechnical inputs to ensure safety and stability
- Visualization of design outputs
