On 31st March, CSE Client Executive, @YZ presented the '5 lessons of the aerospace sector that every miner should know', at EXPO MINERA INTERNACIONAL 2023.

Yamil used five aerospace cases to explain how innovative technology can be replicated in Mining. The mining industry has been around for millions of years, whereas, aerospace only started in 1904, but aerospace adopts digital technologies much faster than mining according to PwC and Accenture reports in 2020: 80% of aerospace companies are investing in digital technologies, mining is just at 42%.

• NASA: Modeling and simulation. NASA is using Dassault Systemes' modeling and simulation technology.  technologies for their project and mining can replicate simulating damps, equipment integrity, material blending, etc. Read the full story.
• NIOBIUM: Material development with the CBMM Niobium success case. CBMM uses simulation and design optimization to accelerate testing and use of the naturally occurring element niobium with other materials such as steel in new solutions. Physical tests that used to take five years can be performed digitally in less than a year to analyze durability, toughness, and efficiency. Read the full story.
• INTERSTELLAR: Integration and collaboration. Interstellar Lab develops environmentally controlled, closed-loop modules designed for self-sustainable life on Earth and beyond, using 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The first module to be built is a cultivation system called BioPod. Read the full story.
• CHAT3DS: Yamil gave the example of Proxem for Natural Language Processing. Virtual twin experiences on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform now take AI to the next level, revealing information intelligence and creating strong levers in new areas.  Companies can elevate product design and quality to become more competitive.
