For Dassault Systèmes, PERUMIN is a fundamental event, as it allows to publicize all the innovations made by our company and allows to generate multiple contacts due to the high call that this activity has.
What portfolio of novelties will you present at the mining convention?
Our company has been working for several years to incorporate techniques used in other industries, such as aeronautics to mining processes, and for this it has developed a new generation of tools that improve the performance of equipment, increase the quality of work and, ultimately, add value to processes linked to technical services and mining operations, all based on the 3DEXPERIENCE collaborative platform and the use of Digital Twin.
How important is the mining sector to the company's business?
The mining sector represents a very relevant part of the effort for the development of new tools in our company, because we believe that this industry is and will be faced in the coming years with very important challenges such as sustainability, reduction of grades, cost increases, productivity losses that will lead it to increase its investment in technology to recover competitiveness, process that other industries such as the automotive industry are already facing with the help of our company. We are bringing this experience to the mining industry.
How do they contribute to the productivity and sustainability of the mining industry?
As we pointed out in the previous point, we can contribute all our experience and knowledge of other industries that have gone through similar challenges, complemented by our presence of many years in the mining industry, which allows us to generate practical applications with an immediate impact on the generation of value.
How much do you expect to grow in terms of sales and production in the mining market?
Our expectation is to position ourselves as the main provider of mining software tools in Latin America
What are the new projects, deliveries or studies that you will carry out for mining?
We are actively participating in the main mining companies in Latin America, developing projects that generate significant productivity increases and ensuring sustainability through cost savings, improvements in results and minimizing the impact on the environment.
We are highlighting the areas of geology with Machine Learning and implicit modeling; the planning areas with advanced optimizers both in the long and medium term, parametric design for OP and UG; and the areas of operations with mine operation management systems, among others. And all under a collaborative environment based on simulation, digital platforms and virtual twins.

The host and organizer of PERUMIN 36 Mining Convention “Investment that generates welfare and sustainable development is the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), a private non-profit organization formed by professionals and technicians from the Peruvian mining sector. PERUMIN offers an open and inclusive dialogue that involves diverse leaders and society representatives, uniting over 60,000 participants in this conversation.
