Dynamic Anisotropy is used to take into account local anisotropies for spatial continuity of grades to improve a grade estimation exercise; as it aligns the search ellipsoid along the direction and continuity of the mineralisation trend in the orebody. It’s useful for folded deposits. Different search ellipse rotations would be required as the mineralisation geometry changes.
Geovia Surpac (from 6.7.3.1 onwards) provides effective tools to perform Dynamic Anisotropy for Inverse Distance, Nearest Neighbour, Simple and Ordinary Kriging.
