Introduction

Efficient and effective collaboration on IP across different domain is critical for overall business agility.

The User Groups app is a cloud-only app which is available through the role 3DSwymer (IFW-OC). It provides the ability to create and manage group of users and use this groups while collaborating in the platform.

The User Groups app provides the following major capabilities:

• Create and manage group of users for specific operation or domain/team. For example, you can create a separate group of users that are involved in particular project.
• Assign and update the permission to the users as follows:
  • Manager: Can modify group properties and add/remove members
  • Owner: Can modify group properties, add/remove members, grant/remove        access
• Platform Administrator: 
  • Can update user groups owned by others.
  • Can create and update user groups through a file import.

Notes: 

• Only members of the platform can be added in the user group.
• You can Invite/Add set of users i.e. user group in the 3DDashboard and the 3DSwym.
• You can tag the specific user group in 3DSwym posts.
• You can share content with user groups. For example, share a particular bookmark or document with user group.
