Successful Hands-on DELMIA Robotics Training at NIAR

A team of DELMIA experts recently went to the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) in Wichita, Kansas to conduct an intensive training session on DELMIA Robotics. Dan Birkett, DELMIA Portfolio Technical Specialist; Tony Karew, Senior Portfolio Introduction Specialist; and Bjarke Rollman, DELMIA Portfolio Technical Director were designated instructors for a class of eight during the three and a half day session. Helping to lead the way was Brian Brown, Director, Robotics and Automation at NIAR.

“The training was great!  The team at NIAR was able to have a hands-on educational experience while we were there to help and answer questions,” Bjarke said. “Tony and Dan did a great job in robot programming.”

Some of the highlights of the intensive training included, but were not limited to, Intro in 3DExperience, Material Handling, Multi-Coordinated Robot Simulation (MCRS), Equipment Design and Safety Zones. Additionally, the training was used on to demonstrate and present Multi-Robotics Advanced Manufacturing (M-RAM), Target to Program Cell, and more.

NIAR, in partnership with Wichita State University (WSU), offer their own DELMIA and CATIA training classes to the aerospace industry. The CAD/CAM Laboratory offers CATIA, DELMIA and ENOVIA courses. The training was conducted at an off-campus facility used by NIAR employees in conjunction with WSU.
