New in Release 2024X FD03, there is new functionality that allows you to create a virtual surface to help simplify the robot motion. You see, creating paths directly on complex surfaces results in overly complex robot trajectories that follow every detail of the part, as a result creating undesired robot motion. This new function allows you to create a simple surface and use this transient surface to generate a smoother, more efficient robot trajectory for applications like shot peening and painting.
