A new robot safety envelope computation based on the robot task swept volume helps the robot programmer identify the minimum working space needed for each robot. This information can be used by the layout designer to define an optimal layout for fences and other equipment without collision risks.
The Safety Envelope functionality has been enhanced to use the swept volume of the robot task and project it on a plane.
Also a new safety envelope panel allows to define the expected 2D representation of the robot’s working envelope.
• The Safety Envelope projects the robot’s working envelope and it’s auxiliary axes envelope.
• The enhanced user experience allows to select multiple robot tasks to output .
• The user can select an existing swept volume or create a temporary swept volume.
• Output can also include the robot’s base circle and tool point.
