New Robot Programmer Role for SOLIDWORKS Ecosystem

I am pleased to announce that a new DELMIA 3DEXPERIENCE Works role named "Robot Programmer" dedicated to the SOLIDWORKS ecosystem has been launched in R2022x FD02.

From the Design in SOLIDWORKS :

Be able to virtually simulate, validate and program any robot  to secure the production run :

This role has been built in the mind of  "All in One"  to cover an end to end robotics scenario for Arc Welding, Adhesives, Cutting,  Machine Tending and Pick & Place applications.

This role was designed in the spirit of "All in One" to cover an end-to-end robotics scenario for Arc Welding, Adhesives, Cutting, Machine tending and Pick & Place applications.

The different stages of the scenario covered are :

  • Design a robotics work cell layout by inserting 3D models such as pre-built industrial robots or other components  from a component library
  • Insert data (product, fixture or tooling) from SOLIDWORKS thanks to the strong 3DEXPERIENCE integration (no import and no conversion necessary)
  • Add kinematics on any 3D for a complete work cell simulation including tooling and auxiliary equipment
  • Program , simulate and validate robots while keeping robots in production
  • Use smart features to create arc welding programs from the design geometry
  • And finally create the robot programs directly in the native language of the robot supplier.

To do this, we have compiled in a single application the necessary and proven functionalities to achieve this workflow with the best user experience and  level of quality.

This role is only available on the 3DEXPERIENCE Works cloud to support SOLIDWORKS users.

Here is a short video to demonstrate an end-to-end robotics workflow:
