DELMIA V6 R2013 is out and with plenty of enhancements for Robotics Applications.
To start, we've improved the accuracy of our default motion planners for the most popular new ABB, Fanuc, and Kuka robots to within 7%. This is a huge improvement and allows for higher confidence in robot performance during planning.
The Material Handling applicaiton, included in all Robotics licenses, now includes relative motion and support for positional grids to make multi-cycle part pick and place more realistic and easier to download.
In addition, we've enhanced our Arc Welding applicaiton to make more visually obvious the different angles that the welding torch will use, plus the angles are interactive! Just drag or click to edit.
Speaking of download, starting with V6 R2013, upload and download translators to get to and from a robot's native language are written in Visual Basic and we deliver the source-code for streamlined customization. This new method for translator development means that the program logic (that was introduced in R2012 with VB translators for some robots) can now be downloaded and uploaded for not only ABB, Fanuc, and Kuka, but also for Kawasaki, Motoman, and Nachi robots.
