Multi clearance, dynamic clash panel, ...


Collision or clearance detection is one of the primary tools of robotics simulation engineers. For this reason, last year,  we greatly improved it  by adding some new features.

One is the need  to specify different clearance values based on the company rules to validate various robotics scenarios.  It is now possible to define the rules for each component: in essence, the robotic system (gun/robot) and others (product/jig), as well as the context where the clearance rules apply: during Spot operation and/or Robot motion.

Following enhancements has been delivered :

  • New command to categorize and group the parts of Tool devices.
  • New Me/Preferences section to set clearance values based on the customer rules (with administrative locks to allow for company-wide enforcement), as well as the colors to be used for each clearance group.
  • New option to activate/deactivate the resource clearances.
  • New dynamic clash results panel with dynamic clearance distance.
  • Performance has been further improved.

All these features are available in all 3D Simulation apps and finally integrated from r2022xGA in all command from the tool analysis apps.
