Looking for examples or documentation on "Generate Factory Flow from Process Planning" logic

Hi everyone,

I am currently working with a feature called "Generate Factory Flow from Process Planning" (or a similar process-to-flow generation tool) and I'm trying to understand its exact data model and behavior rules.

Based on my current understanding, the logic works as follows:

  • Trigger: Selecting planning data from a tree structure (operation, sub-system, or system) that is continuous and has at least one resource assigned to it generates activities and product flows.
  • Resource Assignment (Multiple Zones): If a resource has multiple product zones assigned to it, the generated activities are assigned to the first product zone returned by the resource.
  • Resource Assignment (No Zones): If a resource has no product zone assigned, a new product zone is created and assigned to the resource(s) positioned at the top-middle position.
  • Supported Elements: Activities can be created on conveyors, NC machines, and storages.

I want to properly configure my source data and systems to make full use of this feature. Could anyone share:

  1. Detailed example data or tutorials demonstrating how the systems, operations, and resources must be structured in Process Planning to trigger this successfully?
  2. Best practices or guidelines for setting up product zones and resource positions (especially regarding the "top-middle" placement rule)?

Any documentation, reference materials, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
