Getting it right ... the FIRST time

Everyone hates making mistakes, sometimes many of the button clicks that we make are the result of mistakes. Mistakes create twice the work, since you go through a series of clicks to make the mistake, and then you need to go through another series of clicks to fix the problem. Then you can to start all over again. Click, Click, Click.

So the best way to avoid the extra button clicks is to not make mistakes in the first place. One of the nicest things I have found in using V6 Arc Welding is the visualization tools that are available for robot programming. These tools prevent making mistakes by showing exactly what you will get before clicking on OK. While creating an Arc Trajectory, I can see all about the torch placement on each location. This includes the approach and departure locations.  It also calls out what the torch angle is, as well as the roll angle and the rake angle, so I can see exactly what will be created before it is created. The torch becomes opaque as well to make it easier to see its interaction with the workpiece. It also lets you visualize any collisions between the torch and workpiece before you create the weld path. You can aadjust the number of locations in the path at any time. I see this as a big step toward doing it right the first time.
