Today, the challenges in the Aerospace Manufacturing are:

- increase the production

- reduce the production cost

- improve the quality.

Robotics is a way to address these challenges, specially in hi-cost production countries. In the attached document, I present the current DELMIA V5 Robotics solution for the Aerospace industry. There is a huge trend in this industry to use more an more robots, versus manual work, or dedicated machines, specially for:

• Elementary parts fabrication (laser or water jet cutting, contouring, machining)
• Automated assembly (drilling-riveting, inspection)
• Other new automated processes (painting, plasmacoating, Non Destructive Testing (NDT) , etc).

All the robots/machines used for these processes need to be simulated and programmed offline and this can be achieved with DELMIA V5 and CAA partners products.
