Our "Robotics" community has been renamed as "Virtual Factory & Robotics".

We change the name to expand the scope of the community domain and welcome Virtual Factory users

As a reminder of our 3DEXPERIENCE R2021x portfolio,  the virtual factory domain contains these roles : 

• PLA : Plant Layout designer : Advanced layout capabilities enable Manufacturing Planners to efficiently define the factory resource layout
• EMR : Machine & tooling designer : Create 3D virtual models of shop floor equipment such as machines, robots, 3D printers and tooling - including kinematics
• ETR : Equipment & Layout designer : Design & validate tooling, machines, and layouts to build the Virtual Factory
• MAR : Process Simulation Reviewer : Utilize 3D simulations to review, mark-up and share best engineering practices
• EFS : Factory Simulation Engineer : Simulate material flow and resource utilization in a Virtual Factory context

Robotics users are already familiar with most of these roles for equipment and layout design so the main change is to add the scope of factory flow simulation solutions. Of course these simulations can be done on the same resource structure used for Robotics and confirm the value of the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform.
