The DELMIA Factory Flow Simulation app enables you to create, define and simulate a production system to optimize production performance.

It provides the following capabilities :

• Create a production system that includes products, resources and product flows. You can use the resources that are defined using Plant Layout apps.
• Define, validate, optimize your material flow and production requirements from the station level to the factory level using realistic 3D simulation.
• Generate a production system from process planning content and reuse existing resource behavior
  
• Customize a production system by defining specific resource behavior and simulate it at different levels of detail.
• Analyze a production system by displaying simulation statistics and resource reports during simulation
  
• Identify troubles areas early, edit a production system components to optimize its performance and production rate with alternate routing.
  

You can create a factory flow between several resources such as conveyor, NC machines, and storage resources. 2 Methods are available to generate a factory flow :

• 1st method: automatic creation of factory flow by clicking the resources along the line (from InZone to OutZone) shown in this video.
  
• 2nd method: manual creation of factory flow using the “resource configuration” command.
