This PowerPoint is written for the brand new user. It touches on a lot of stuff you need to know before you can even begin to understand the Companions. Stuff like
"how do I find the robots?" and
"How come there aren't any names/labels on the icons? How am I supposed to find anything?".
It is not an in-depth tutorial on a specific topic, but rather a starting point for those that are new to using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
Topics Presented:
- Interface comparison for users of previous version of DELMIA software (D5 IGRIP and V5 Robotics)
- Comparing the two working environments. The Design Environment and the 3D Simulation Environment
- A brief look at Dashboards and starting the 3DEXPERIENCE apps
- Making the user interface more user friendly by turning on the Status Bar prompts, App Options dialog and showing menu names as text
- How to find the robots that are delivered with the software
- Importing 3DXML files
- Using Catalogs
- How the DELMIA “Manufacturing Cell” correlates to a real world workcell or station
- Mounting a tool on a robot
- Programming the robot using the Immersive Browser interface
- Introduction to Tag Points and Tasks
- Using the compass and Jog panel to move the robot
- Saving your work back into a database
I'm also creating videos with commentary to go along with this. They will be coming shortly.
Look through it and let me know what I should improve on. What topics have I missed that were unclear when you started using 3DEX? What have I not explained clearly enough? stuff like that.
