From R2026x FD02 release, users will have improved functionalities in Transport resources which helps in increasing accuracy of the simulation results. This contains improvements across several transport resources such as AGV's, Cranes, Trains and Forklifts
Highlight
Unload and load activity support for Crane and Forklift
Select Add Load Activity or Add Unload Activity cmd and select a Crane or Forklift resource to add a product to load/Unload activity
During simulation, when crane is at from Resource (based on product flow) load operation and at To Resource Unload operation is executed.
Note : This is supported for crane with direct product transfer usecases
Dynamic home position for Crane Lift and Cross travel
When activated, Lift and Cross travel will not retract to initial position after load and unload activity. As soon as Hoist or Pusher is retracted, Crane is ready to move. This helps in saving time to travel in many cases such as load and unload activity on same side of crane/ASRS
Worker to move along with Crane
To make a worker to move along a crane. Set a worker pool as a driving resource pool of crane pool. This is done using Manage Driving Resource Pool contextual Cmd on Crane pool as shown below
To define a position on floor where worker gets attached to cross travel, create a Resource zone on Crane resource
During simulation the Crane starts to move only after a worker comes to the defined resource zone and gets detached after product transfer
Product flow specific Driving resource pools assignment
By default, if a driving pool is assigned to a resource pool, it is assigned to the product flow else it is none
User can assign a different driving resource pool to different product flow. So same forklift can use different drivers based on product flow
Transport Resource Break Start/ Shift End behavior
User can define Break Start / Shift End behavior provided for AGV, Train and Driving Pool worker
Complete Current Task: The AGV/Train completes its assigned task and proceeds to the parking area. The operator from the driving pool parks the AGV/Train and then moves to the parking area
Pause Current Task and Proceed to Parking: The AGV/Train pauses its current task and proceeds directly to the parking area. The operator from the driving pool parks the AGV/Train and then moves to the parking area.
Immediate Stop: The AGV/Train completes its current task and remains at the current location. If there are any remaining tasks, the driving pool operator completes them before proceeding to the parking area
Forklift Improvements
Parking support: Assign & unassign parking zone cmd is provided on resource configuration table.
Assign parking zone cmd list resource zones and multiple zones can be selected. So during after task completion if there are no pending tasks Forklifts will move to least congested parking resource zone.
