As illustrated in this video, the supplier has the responsibility to deliver body in white stations that meets the OEM production and part quality requirements.

The Process planner is in charge of defining and validating the physical layout within the stations of the robots and tooling that will be delivered to the OEM.

For each assembly step, the individual parts of the final assembly are accurately positioned on the tooling.

All fasteners assigned to a given station are then reviewed individually for robot reach and interference.  

The Process planner must balance the loading and welding operations in order to meet the cycle time objectives required by the OEM.
