More Than 50% Time-Savings in DeCommissioning Simulation Study Thanks to DELMIA 4D Planning Based on Laser Scanning Input

 

Hi,

I propose here a DeCommissioning solution workflow ( see attach slides and short overview video 2mins26 ) based on DELMIA 4D Planning Simulation and CATIA Digitized Shape preparation when the input data are Laser scanning.

This solution approach allows DeCommissioning Planner User to start DeCommissioning simulation study before to get 3D Mockup. In parallel, Partners,suppliers or other “Builder 3Dmockup person” should able to create 3D Mockup based on sub cloud of point delivered by DeCommissioning Planner during DBOM Phase definition.

This “coactivity” process should able to save time in DeCommissioning simulation study, about 50% time at least

 

This solution required DELMIA 4 Planning Simulation and CATIA Digitized Shape Preparation for the DeCommissioning Planner Role. But for this last one, he will use only split and mesh function of CATIA Digitized shape. So I think it should be interesting to create DELMIA 4D Planning + CATIA Digitized Shape preparation “Light” solution for this role because he won’t build 3D Mockup.

But for “Builder 3D Mockup” it is necessary to have CATIA Digitized Shape preparation full package; but he doesn’t need DELMIA 4D Planning of course.•This solution workflow is also available for Maintenance activities where many input data are also based on Laser Scanning.

Be careful, this solution workflow works at 80 %. There have some issues and limitations. We need to have enhancement, specifically in DBOM step
