Dear community members,
it is well known that in the virtual build we can animate/simulate tracks. For example we define or automatically find the installation path for a part/sub assembly, i.e. the part is moving along a trajectory from its start position to the final position.
However, for example, in AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry we often have processes/operations in which something is literally "growing" in a certain place. I.e. not the part itself is moving, its being produced directly in its final position/location.
It is possible to animate such a grow using Manufacturing Assembly Evaluation App by defining a cutting plane that moves across the item in a defined direction. Please see attached video that illustrate the construction of a pillar (pouring concrete).
You can mix this concept in your virtual build up along with assembly tracks, resource tracks, robot/device and human task motion.
Note that the "grow" animation does not mean that we model and simulate the process of pouring! This is a topic that is currently being worked on in the domain of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing), in which the complex pouring process is described based on physical/chemical process parameters and the strategy to deposit fluid / viscose materials.
