Visual Quality Defect Tracking – 2D vQDT

Quality HowTo

DELMIA Apriso Visual Quality Defect Tracking (vQDT) helps manufacturers speed up defect reporting and adds powerful visuals to enhance quality reviews and improve Root Cause Analysis. It streamlines the information flow between the shop floor and quality managers or product engineering teams by enabling defect tracking and analysis at the level of individual occurrences marked on the product image/3D model. It can be used with both 2D images and 3D models. In this post we are going to explore the DELMIA Apriso 2D vQDT.

With DELMIA Apriso 2D VQDT, it possible to define Visual Quality Defects on Product images as well as add annotations to these images. It leads to better accuracy in capturing defects and provides greater visibility into quality issues.

DELMIA Apriso 2D vQDT can be used to mark the defects or create annotations on multiple images. Defects can also be marked by severity and easily filtered using the filter menu. vQDT can be used on both mobile and web screens

DELMIA Apriso can be configured to have drill down based on document relation or with Region Assignment.

vQDT DrillDown based on Document Relation

For drilldown based on document relation, correct images for parent and child parts needs to be defined. Transparent background is enabled for this case, which means that transparent background is not treated as part of the image and cannot be used to select an image.

Defects once marked, can be analyzed at both parent and child levels.

vQDT DrillDown based on Region

Another way to configure drill down is based on regions. Regions can be configured on the main image. Selecting the region will open the image associated with the region.
