It seems that lately DELMIA has been approached by several startups desiring various levels of guidance. Very quickly, it became apparent that we were not used to dealing with companies at this level of maturity. It also begged the question: what level of guidance should we be providing companies that are at the design/testing/certification phases?
DELMIA is usually working with companies that have a particular issue or issues in their manufacturing operation. They need to have real-time visibility to their operations; they may need to have detailed Bill of Material control or advanced process planning, and even optimized scheduling among other needs.
So how can DELMIA help companies that most likely are not even making production parts yet? What about companies that are just thinking about building a factory? What about the companies that are just in the prototype stage?
Stay tuned, as we will visit these topics and more in this multi-part series.
