If you're familiar with DELMIA Ortems, you know that it is a very full-featured advanced planning and scheduling tool. But did you know that it can do even more?

If you are an existing Apriso customer, and are using triggers, you know that they can be a very powerful tool for creating 'child' orders for the final assembly order. However, if there are things that happen between the initial signal and the final order, the process does not adjust to what has happened since the original signal. Ortems is
capable of dynamically creating those child orders based on your business logic, which can be very powerful depending on your particular situation. Further, Ortems will adjust said orders based on what has happened, which can be very advantageous. This happens in the Synchronized Resource Planning module.

I would recommend that any Apriso customer that is using triggers to create child orders look into the possibility of using Ortems to do that creation as it is a much more responsive mechanism and can adjust to changing shopfloor conditions.
