Work order creation is a manufacturing business process for most fabrication manufacturers. For machine shops, 3DExperience is used to digitally define products to be produced, and simulate their fabrication, including the creation of NC code used by a CNC machine. In large machine shops with high volume and mix that is fulfilled using ‘00s of machines, ERP, APS (DELMIA Ortems) and MOM (DELMIA Apriso) systems are essential. They are used to reduce waste and deliver quality products on time. When information is shared between each of these systems, the effects of disruptive events like machine downtime can be minimized.
