Did you know that using DELMIA Apriso Dashboard Builder, we can connect to more than 15 different data sources apart from DELMIA Apriso data source to build shareable dashboards?
This enables business users to build an interactive dashboard spanning multiple data sources across their enterprise.
In the example below, we are going to see how we can connect DELMIA Apriso Dashboard Builder to PostgreSQL server and build dashboards with 2 data source - PostgreSQL and Apriso MPI (OLAP)
To get started, first we need to connect DELMIA Apriso Dashboard Builder to any existing PostgreSQL Database. For this we need to create a third party connection with Custom Connection string. Set XpoProvider as Postgres.
Once we have created Third Party Data Connection, we need to use this connection. For this, add a data source with Database and select PostgreSQL.
Once connected, we can either write our own query to fetch the data or let Dashboard Builder generate the query using Query Builder.
Now we are all set to use PostgreSQL data source in our dashboards.
In the dashboard, select any Data Visualization Item like Charts, Cards, Grids, Maps, etc. Change Data Source to use the newly configured data source.
And it is done. Now you can bind your elements to the new data source.
